I love technology. I have no earthly idea what I would do if there was a "technology crash". I become frustrated when my iPhone starts performing slowly or my MacBook Pro freezes. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching my students become more engaged in reading novels through technology; the students prefer to scroll on their e-readers as opposed to turning the pages in a traditional novel. My students have become more interactive with math lessons because of technology. They enjoy completing diagnostic tests and quizzes via the computer as opposed to circling the correct answer on a multiple choice test. I honestly believe that technology is and will continue to be an innovative means of bridging the achievement gaps in education.
Some of the topics that I would like to discuss this semester are as follows:
Student created web games in the content areas of Math & Science
Interactive WebQuest in the content areas of Math & English
Creating Podcasts
Blogging about Math problems and creative ways to solve
